H-Engineering are here to undertake every aspect of your classic car restoration project – inside and out!

Whether you require a partial refurbishment of your classic car or a full nut and bolt restoration, H-Engineering apply the same structured process to ensure we deliver your requirements.

Our workshop facilities are amongst the best to be found in the Kent area for the classic and vintage car marketplace. We invite customers to visit us today to discuss their classic car requirements. So why not come and have a look at some of our recent restoration projects for yourself.

01. STRIP DOWN & EVALUATE

This stage of the process must be completed before the extent of work required in any restoration can be understood. It is this stage of restoration that allows H-Engineering to provide the customer with a comprehensive estimation of the work required, time to complete and the overall cost of the customers’ classic car restoration.

02. SEND OFF ELEMENTS

If required the shell will be sent away for specialist dipping to remove all the paint, body filler and sealer so it will arrive back to us as a bare metal shell. The chrome can also be sent off to be stripped and re-chromed, better than before.

03. RECTIFY RUST DAMAGE

Afterwards, we will rectify all rust damage to the body shell, including replacing panels if they are available. If they are not easily available, we can fabricate one off panels from scratch in-house using traditional techniques including our old English wheeling machine and the shrinker/stretcher machine.

04. PAINTWORK

Our restoration work also extends to vehicle paintwork, from single panels to a complete respray. H-Engineering is conversant with all modern and traditional painting systems including bare metal priming and painting over existing materials. Our highly skilled team also specialises in accident damage and car body repairs, able to repair any damage with ease.

05. TIME TO REBUILD

An overhaul of all mechanical components including the engine, gearbox, axles, brakes and suspension will be rebuilt, including BZP plating as original. Next, we will proceed to powder coat all necessary parts.

06. FITTING & REBUILD

Our team will bring together all of the carefully restored components, assembling them with skill and care to produce a finished article that is equal to, or better than the original factory finished product.

07. TESTING
& COMPLETION

Finally, only when all the components have been carefully assembled, installed and adjusted, does the car once again become ready for a period of initial testing, tuning and road testing. It is only then that we have the opportunity to undertake the many functional tests and adjustments to access the cars’ potential.
